Idol Sighting...

Today Tricia and I went down to Santa Monica. Her nephew was in town so we were showing him around. We were on the pier when we saw two of the guys from this years Top 10. It was cool. My sister's favorite is the one in the glasses. She wanted to make sure I gave him my number since he's supposed to be a Christian! Love Kel!

Tonight Hugh, Luke, Rebekah and I went to a fundraiser for the chorale at The Master's College. We paid $$ for the dinner and they also had a silent auction. I won a facial and eye brow wax...Sweet! The meal was tasty and the fellowship was even tastier!
The chorale is going to Israel and Italy for a three week tour. They need to raise around $5000 for each student. It was a nice evening.

This Monday my sister and brother in law go back to court to see what is going to happen with their fister baby. She is so precious and has become such a part of the family. We trust that His plan is the best for everyone. Pray for a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Saturday Morning...

I know I say it every week but I HEART Saturday mornings. Today Mandy and I were sitting at the table, drinking our coffee and writing a list of things to do and places we want visit in the next year. (you will be hearing more about this as we start knocking things off the list!) All of the sudden there was a knock at the door and in walks Kelli and Elmo (aka Ivy). They came to bring us breakfast. It was so cute. We chatted, I painted Ivy's nails and we cuddled on the couch and watched cartoons. I love Saturday mornings!

Voda's Here...

Voda is here for the NASCAR race this weekend so I drove down to meet up with her last night. One of our best friends from high school Matt and his wife Roby came and met us for dinner. Matt and Robyn live in Newport Beach area and that's who I stayed with last week when I was down in So. Cal.

It was so good to see Voda and spend a little time with her. I'm so proud of all of her accomplishments. You could of seen her on Fox this weekend interviewing for the Daytona 500. It is always good spending time with friends.

Tag I'm It...

I was "tagged" to go to my fourth folder/ fourth picture and post it. Here it is. Tricia and Jenny. This was a fun night out about a year ago. Jenny was here visiting and Tricia, Jen Sharp and I went down and had dinner with her at Mexicali. (one of our favorite hot spots!) I love these two girls and am so thankful for their friendship. I couldn't ask for better friends.

This Week...

This week flew by! It's Sarurday morning and I feel like I could stay in bed for another 3 hours! Love Saturday mornings. Happy Valentines Day to everyone...Ivy, Sissy and Kelli came to see me at work yesterday bearing Valentines Day gifts for me. They are so sweet and I love them so in abundance.

I had to go to Orange County for two days for work and got to stay with my close friend Matt and his wife Robyn. I've know him since high school and love that we have kept in touch. It was fun getting to catch up.

I love these two pictures I took of the sky and mountains. Luke and I like to go to the Tournament Players Club for our meetings. We get tea and sit out by the fire pit and talk. I love it cause it's beautiful and we get some good conversation in. We try to go once a month. We went this week after a rain so the sky was extra clear and gorgeous!!! I was reminded again and again this week on the many reasons why I love California. I am thankful to live here. (but I can't begin to talk about all the proposed tax increase for California that may happen....UNREAL!)

Top Ten...

I got this entry idea from my sweet sista Jenny. Here are the rules: If you want to play, leave a comment on this post letting me know and I’ll assign you a letter. You write about ten things you love that begin with your assigned letter, and post it at your place. When people comment on your list, you give them a letter, and the chain will continue.

This is hard...I was given the letter "P". They are in no Particular Position.

1. Psalms and Proverbs- These books are good for the soul and have encouraged me on many days. Psalm 62:5-8 and Proverbs 9:10 would be a couple of favorites.

2. Pizza: I love pizza. My favorite is Nick and Willy's. I am not a picky pizza eater and enjoy all kinds. I love taco pizza from Happy Joes and the Agean from Nick and Willy's.

3. Possibilities:I am thankful that all things are possible with God and that I can do all things through Him. Super cool!

4. My Peeps: I think I have the best friends in the World. I have been super blessed in this department. I love my peeps!

5. Puckering: I like to pucker; not gonna lie!

6. Pink: I love this color. I like hot pink, pale pink, all shades of pink.

7. Patience and Perseverance: These are two characteristics that I continually strive for. Patience isn't the easiest one for me but I am working towards it.

8. Pilates: I love this form of activity. It has made me stronger.

9. Patton: This would be a shout out for my Pastor Tom Patton. A cool guy!

10. Playing games: I love to play games. Card games, board games, word games, question games....you name it.

Phil Wickham Concert...

Last night a group of us from TMC went down to Santa Ana to see Phil Wickham in concert. He's a great artist who puts down some solid lyrics. HE was great. I wish he would have played longer than he did. It took us a couple hours to get down there and the concert was only about two hours. Check him out on you tube. I took a video but it might take me awhile to figure out how to load it.
We had great seats and it was a sweet evening to worship Jesus. Listen to his songs: Cannons, Diving Romance, Grace, Home or Crumble to Pieces. We're looking to bring him to TMC for a concert. If we work it out you are all invited!

*Today I am thankful that it's SATURDAY!!!!!

Tuesday night Heidi Keller and I hosted Woman to Woman at my house. This is where girls from TMC sign up to come over and spend time getting to know Staff or Faculty women from the school. We limited our group to 12 girls and had a super sweet bunch.

We made desserts and coffee and had some great conversation. They asked thoughtful questions and it was a wonderful time of sharing. The picture is later into the night after half of them had already left. It's such a blessing to get to be part of these girls lives. They are an encouragement to me.

*Today I am thankful that our plumbing is getting fixed!

A Favorite...

These are my favorite guys! Hugh, Johnny and Luke. I adore these guys and consider them a huge blessing in my life. They encourage me, love me, look after me, treat me like a lady and are a blessing from the Lord. I couldn't ask for better friends.
